M/Y MINGFA 2015

MY INVOLVEMENT:

BENETTI TECHNICAL ARCHITECT: PROJECT DEFINITION, SELECT MATERIAL,FOLLOW THE COSTRUCTION

M/Y MINGFA (hull number BS005) is the fifth unit in Benetti's Classic Supreme 132' series. In keeping with the series' guidelines Mingfa is a displacement yacht with ample interior and exterior volumes, combined with a high level of on-board comfort. The owner discovered this yacht's perfect characteristics in creating a special place for business meetings and important receptions, in addition to family use.

Mingfa, with her over length of 50.24 meters and maximum beam of 8.28 meters, is recognizable for her full height windows along the main and upper decks, providing excellent illumination for the interior decks and a more racy exterior profile.

There are further features that have make the Classic Supreme 132' very competitive and innovative: the charming balcony for the owners cabin, a twin Jacuzzi (one forward on the upper deck, the other on the sun deck), and the open air external stairs.

The interior layout – six cabins for twelve guests – has an important feature on the upper deck: a second matrimonial suite, larger than the suite located forward on the main deck. With the bed facing the full beam glass doors and a generously sized bathroom, we have an exceptional view of the sea.

The main deck welcomes guests into the main salon and elegant bar (made with a single layer of Port Laurent marble) with a central salon and oval table seating twelve guests. A special feature of this area are the three television screens: a large central screen on the forward bulkhead, and two smaller disappearing screens to port and starboard. This was a choice desired by the owner, who is still able to keep an eye on business while watching entertainment on the main screen.

Forward and to starboard, on the same deck, we have the entry to the owner's apartment, with a private studio, bedroom, walk-in closet and his and her bathrooms. To port we have the entry to the striking private terrace overlooking the sea.

On the lower deck we have four guest cabins, two with double beds and two with twin beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Farther forward on the same deck, completely separated from the guest area, is the crew quarters for seven members with four cabins, galley and dinette.

Decòr and interior styling – by Benetti in conjunction with the owner – is quite special. A classic interior, with a contemporary touch, was what they were looking for. Clean and linear overheads lighten the atmosphere, in contrast with the very classic and luxurious glossy wood. The wood is Anigre Frisé, punctuated by dark walnut sections. The same Marfil cream marble was used throughout the yacht. The bathrooms have the countertops placed slightly higher than usual, a special feature.
